The head of Tallahassee's DOMI Station has been named to take over the soon-to-be-built incubator laboratory at Innovation Park. Tom Flanigan reports Bill Lickson will be in charge of both building and running the seventeen-million-dollar facility.
Innovation Park Executive Director Ron Miller said Lickson was chosen for the many connections he's forged in the area's entrepreneurial community. Especially since taking over DOMI Station nearly a year ago.
"He has developed great relationships with all of our stakeholders and it's going to be a pretty seamless transition. We're looking forward to the collaboration that he's going to bring to all of the entrepreneurial groups in the community."
The new North Florida Innovation Labs will give hi-tech entrepreneurs a place to perfect and prove their ideas before taking them to market. It's scheduled to be open by the fall of 2023.
