In an effort to protect the state’s consumers the state’s utility regulators are taking to road.
Public Service Commission staff are heading to Jacksonville and Fort Meyers Wednesday. They’ll be teaching seniors about potential scams and how to avoid them. They’ll also be giving tips on ways seniors can save money on their utility bills through energy and water conservation. Public Service Commission Chairman Art Graham says in a press release the program is part of an ongoing effort to reach out to the state’s seniors. And he points out May is Older Americans Month.
