Update: Police have arrested Leon Woodberry, 30, in connection with the death of Shannan Gordon, 23. Police say Gordon was stabbed to death. Woodberry is being charged with homicide. The investigation is ongoing.
Tiffany Gay, a neighbor saw the police setting up the crime scene.
"When I came out of the house this afternoon, I seen the police stop in the middle of the road by my complex. Then I seen him get out with yellow tape. And me and my neighbor was like 'yellow tape? I hope it's not a murder,'" Gay said.
Woodberry lives in the townhome complex.
Update: The police department has confirmed a body was found in the wood line on Pecan Rd. Officers are investigating the case as a homicide.
Tallahassee police are questioning residents in a townhome complex on Tharpe St.
Residents say the police told them a body was found in a ditch behind the complex, on Pecan Rd. Officers have roped off the entrance facing Pecan and parts of the road. They detained two men in the complex. It is not yet known if the arrests are connected to the body. Witnesses say police found blood on the sidewalk leading up to the door of one unit. Both men who were arrested live in that unit. The police department has yet to release a statement.
