Tallahassee Painting The City Pink

Tallahassee is painting the city pink for the month of October to raise breast cancer awareness.

On Wednesday, the Leon County Courthouse will be lit with pink lighting, EMS paramedics will wear pink gloves for service calls throughout the month and the Leroy Collins Main Library will feature selected books, which promote awareness.

The Florida Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program is also reminding women to get screenings to know their status. The program provides free or low cost screenings to women who are between the ages of 50-64, low income and have no insurance.
