Performers Popping Up Everywhere During Tallahassee Music Week

This is Tallahassee Music Week.  That means it’s now nearly impossible to go more than a few hundred yards without running into a performing musician.

One of the city’s best known singer/songwriters Del Suggs was entertaining a lunchtime crowd at Innovation Park on Monday.

Heather Thompson whose Florida Virtual School office is nearby, called it a nice addition to her workday.

“It helps break up the day, give us a little stress relief and enjoy our lunch break,” Thompson said.

Another Innovation Park worker, Lisa Close, was also loving the open-air concert.

“It’s wonderful!  It’s so nice and a perfect atmosphere outside to listen to some music while you eat lunch.  It’s great!.”

And Suggs called it great for the city’s musical talent.

“Those of us who are musicians in this town have talked forever about the incredible quality of talent in this town and we just need to get people out to hear it,” Suggs said.

Tallahassee Music Week continues, all over town, through this coming weekend.
