Longtime Florida A&M University Business professor Clyde Ashley has died. He was found dead in his office Wednesday afternoon.
The blog site Rattler Nation first reported Ashley’s death. Later that night, the university confirmed Ashley's death and released a statement.
“We extend sincere condolences to his family and will keep them in our prayers," said FAMU President Larry Robinson.
Ashley had worked FAMU since 1987, and taught courses in leadership development and economics in the School of Business and Industry. Former Tallahassee state Representative and FAMU alumnus Alan Williams on twitter called Ashley “one of the bedrocks” of the business school and said Ashley’s “leadership, mentorship and friendship” are just a few of the things he’ll remember the most.
