Law Firm Moving To Tallahassee Seeks About 90 Workers

Tallahassee-area job seekers might want to dust off their resumes. A multinational law firm is moving to Tallahassee this summer and is looking to hire about 90 people.

The law firm Kaye Scholer has nine offices all over the world, and its tenth is coming to Tallahassee.  The firm’s chief operating officer, Jeff Hunter, said, the firm chose Florida’s capital after considering dozens of potential cities.

“It has the arts and culture and all of the benefits of a large city, but at the same time has the benefits of a medium-sized city in terms of an easier commute, a lot of sense of community and that sort of thing,” he said.

The Tallahassee office will be support staff only, so the firm isn’t looking for lawyers in the area. But, Hunter said, he’s looking for people with backgrounds in finance, accounting, graphic design, library services and other fields.

No lease has been signed, but he estimates an opening date of June 1.
