Dianne Williams-Cox overtook opponent Bob Lotane to win Tallahassee City Commission seat five. The seat was formerly held by Gil Ziffer. Williams-Cox pulled off the win with about 65 percent of the vote.

“I believe that Tallahassee is still a very strong city, I feel very safe in Tallahassee, and I want others to feel that same way. So I’m going to do everything I can because the people have spoken, they’re sending me, sending a voice to represent them in,” she said.

Williams-Cox says she plans to get right to work talking with community members and learning about how the City Commission manages budgets.
