DeSantis Selects Former Crist, Scott Adviser As Chief Of Staff

Memorial Healthcare System

Gov.-elect Ron DeSantis is tapping Shane Strum as his chief of staff.

Shane Strum is no newcomer to Tallahassee politics. Now a senior vice president of Memorial Healthcare System in Hollywood, Strum previously served as Chief of Staff to former Gov. Charlie Christ (R). He’s also held posts in Gov. Rick Scott’s transition team, the state Department of Management Services and chaired of the Broward Republican Party.

"I am very pleased to announce that Shane is returning to public service and bringing his expertise to our administration," DeSantis said in a statement. "Having spent many years in both the private and public sector, and previously serving two Florida Governors, Shane will be a great addition to our team."
