The Law Enforcement Torch Run benefits Special Olympics Florida. Attorney General Pam Bondi will be kicking off the event this year.
The Law Enforcement Torch Run is an annual 1,500 mile intrastate relay in which law enforcement officers and the corrections community carry the “Flame of Hope” through Florida. The Torch Run raises money and awareness for Special Olympics Florida. The run will start at the Florida Capitol Courtyard Thursday. Leon County will be passing the torch to Jefferson County.
