Tallahassee, FL – Governor-elect Rick Scott kicked off two days of inaugural events with a "Salute to Women in Leadership" breakfast. The event included 300 invited guests, but as Lynn Hatter reports, it honored the newest women in power - the next Lieutenant Governor and Attorney General.

Jennifer Carroll will soon become the state's first black female Lieutenant Governor and Pam Bondi will become the first female Attorney General in the state's history once they're sworn in on Tuesday. During the breakfast, Bondi said she didn't fully realize how her decision to run for office would impact women.

"I never saw how being a woman really affected the state until we were all over the state and young girls would come up to me, fourteen, fifteen, sixteen, and say I want to go to law school because of you. I want to be like you, I want to be Attorney General," she said.

The event was hosted by FOX news host Greta Van Susteren, who stressed to Republicans who now control the Cabinet and Legislature that making Florida better means working in a bipartisan fashion, and not locking Democrats out of the political process.
