Two single mothers are becoming first-time homeowners through Big Bend Habitat for Humanity.

Dunn surpassed 229 home giveaways.

On Tuesday, two single mothers in Tallahassee became first-time homeowners with the help of Florida State football legend Warrick Dunn and the Big Bend Habitat for Humanity.

Through Dunn's charity group, Warrick Dunn Charities (WDC), Jasmine Gadsen and Sharmetreius Russ each received $5,000 in down-payment assistance and $10,000 worth of furnishings from Aaron’s.

Additionally, WDC ensured both homes were fully stocked with food.

The gift comes with what’s considered to be an "affordable mortgage" for each family.

The former NFL star and soon to be College Football Hall of Famer, has helped dozens of single parents become homeowners in the Big Bend.

Dunn started the "Homes for the Holidays" program in 1997, during his first season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Tuesday's event was Dunn's 228th and 229th home giveaway nationwide.
