Jackson Hospital Will Get $2.5M To Install Generators

Jackson Hospital

Jackson Hospital in Marianna will get $2.5 million to buy and install a dozen generators.

The funding comes from the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s Hazard Mitigation Grant Program, which seeks to help communities become more resilient following a natural disaster.

The hospital applied for the grant following Hurricane Michael.

According to a recent press release, 10 diesel generators will be placed in various locations across the hospital campus, and two are designated for the Hudnall Medical Building. The generators will connect to an automatic transfer switch at the main hospital building.
