The Florida State University Police Department is celebrating a win. FSUPD is being recognized as one of the state’s top departments for traffic enforcement. Chief David Perry says that’s a big deal for a small department.
“For us to place third alongside of agencies like Broward County, huge municipalities and we’re just a little 71 sworn staff police department here kind of speaks volumes to the work that we do to be proactive to stay on top of traffic safety initiatives, lifesaving initiatives, and pedestrian safety,” Perry says.
Perry says a team of FSU officers traveled to Orlando over the weekend to collect their award for third place in the champion’s class of the state law enforcement traffic safety program.
