Hundreds turned out Thursday night (4/27) to roast Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare’s President and CEO Mark O’Bryant, all for a good cause.
It was the Rotary Club of Tallahassee’s biggest fundraiser of the year, held at the Charlotte Maguire Center to benefit the club’s service projects, such as the Second Harvest Backpacking program, Habitat for Humanity, the Able Trust, Big Bend Hospice and the Rotary Youth Programs. Club President Bill Gunter was proud to claim O’Bryant – who has led TMH since 2003 – as a member.
“It’s wonderful for his civic organization, the Rotary Club, to recognize him in this way and, at the same time, to help to supply support and resources to our local projects here," Gunter remarked.
Previous roastees have included Tallahassee Community College President Jim Murdaugh, former lawmaker Marjorie Turnbull and philanthropist Mary Pankowski.
