Tallahassee Community College is receiving a three-year, $250,000 dollar vocational rehabilitation grant.
The funding helps provide educational opportunities for students with disabilities in Leon, Wakulla and Gadsden counties. TCC’s Vice President of Marketing, Alan Moran says the grant will expand its existing program.
“We actually produce more graduates every year with disabilities than any other school in the state of Florida,” Moran says. “So we have a establish program, a success program, and this grant from The Able Trust will help us to be even stronger.”
The college is the first in the state to receive a grant this year. TCC will provide matching funds with a $250,000 commitment of its own.
