Tallahassee, FL – The Florida House of Representatives has voted to override two more of former Governor Charlie Crist's vetoes. Lynn Hatter has more.
One override vote was split among party lines on a bill to create special committees lawmakers could use to raise money for campaign contributions as they saw fit. Democrats voted unanimously in opposition to that measure, but the override went through, with Republicans holding an 81-seat super-majority in the chamber.
Both parties joined together to unanimously override a veto on a bill that prevents local governments from imposing fees on farm land. Both measures have been sent to the Senate.
In November the legislature overrode eight of Crist's vetoes during a special session, after Republicans won veto-proof majorities in both chambers.
