Tallahassee, FL – The Florida Legislature is searching for dollars to balance the state budget. Tax collections are coming up more than 6 billion dollars short. And like a laid off worker searching seat cushions for money to make the rent, lawmakers are exploring a variety of options to pay the state bills. James Call reports, Monday a House Committee discussed joining a compact to collect sales tax on items bought out of state on the Internet or through catalogs.
