The WFSU News Department has begun its own Twitter feed of the stories heard on the station’s air each day.  The new handle, @WFSUNews, will aggregate content from everyone in the WFSU newsroom and will feature regular live-tweeting from news events happening in North Florida and South Georgia.   “I’m really pleased we were able to do this,” says WFSU News Director Stan Jastrzebski.

Florida State University's football team is banned from twitter. FSU head coach Jimbo Fisher has told his players they can't use their Twitter accounts for the rest of the year.
Fisher's move comes after some players tweeted objectionable material on their Twitter sites  including one that quoted rap lyrics about killing police officers.

Fisher says he views social media as a distraction during the football season and wants his players can be as focused as possible.
