Corrections Officials Arrest Guard On Drug Charges

The Florida Department of Corrections has arrested one of its officers on drug charges.

After a long term investigation in conjunction with the Holmes county sheriff and state attorney, corrections officials took Officer Jeffrey Elmore into custody. Elmore allegedly sold drugs in a Bonifay prison. The heavily redacted probable cause affidavit alleges Elmore bought 12 to 16 ounces of synthetic marijuana. An inmate was later found with the drug and investigators believe Elmore was the source.
