Tallahassee, FL – Governor Rick Scott is working again when it comes to raising money. James Call reports, Scott said Tuesday he plans to run for reelection.
Scott never shut down his political action committee Let's Get to Work. The group coordinated fundraising and advertising during last year's gubernatorial campaign. It's website reported receiving a hundred thousand dollar donation in July. When asked about it Tuesday, Scott said he plans to run for reelection in 2014.
"I like this job, I enjoy being governor. I like people. I'm doing the best I can to keep the cost of living as low as I can in the state and making sure people get an education and get a job so I'm planning on running for reelection."
Scott campaign on reducing unemployment and says 71 thousand jobs have been
created in Florida since he took office in January. However, the state unemployment rate is 10 percent with more than 900,000 people out of work.
