Luck and Lagoa moved on to become United States Appellate Court judges.

This list consists of nine names. Three are from the Miami area. Governor Ron DeSantis will have to choose one of those nominees to fill the vacancy left by Barbara Lagoa. The other selection can come from anywhere in the state.

The Supreme Court is made up of seven members with at least one justice from each of the five regions.

Nominating Commissions in the past have been criticized for a lack of diversity. Of the nine nominees this time at least two are minorities.
