In an effort to save funds, officials want residents to switch to Alert Okaloosa.
The system notifies residents on tornadoes, severe thunderstorms and flash flood warnings in the county. According to a press release, residents who registered for an alert system before July 1 need to re-register for Alert Okaloosa. Residents can sign up at www.okaloosafl.com.
