Memorial Service Set For Mid-June To Honor Former Wakulla Sheriff's Office Spokesman

Wakulla County Sheriff's office

A memorial service to honor Keith Blackmar is set for next month. He’s the former member of the Wakulla County Sheriff’s office who recently passed away due to cancer.

Last week, Wakulla County Sheriff Charlie Creel said he was unsurewhen the memorial for his former spokesman would be held, since he was waiting on the availability of Blackmar’s family.

Now, they’ve set a definite date: Saturday, June 11th. And, the ceremony will be held 10 a.m. at the Wakulla One Stop Community Center located on Shadeville Road in Crawfordville.

Instead of flowers, the Sheriff’s office is asking residents to make donations in Keith’s memory. It can be made out to the Victims Advocates within the Wakulla County Sheriff’s office or Wakulla County Parks and Recreation.
