Two Tallahassee City Commission seats remain up for grabs as the top two vote getters in both head toward the general election in November.
Gaines Street Pies owner Jeremy Matlow will face off with Lisa Brown for the 3rd seat race, and Bob Lotane will see Diane Williams-Cox for the 5th seat in the general election.
“The biggest thing I can say right now is that I am truly grateful," says Williams-Cox. "I am truly grateful the citizens of Tallahassee have given me the opportunity to have this outcome.”
This election cycle marks Williams-Cox’s third time running for office. It's the first time for Matlow, a proud Bernie Sanders supporter who's "One Tallahassee" campaign has focused on what Matlow says is a desire to have more voices represented in city decision-making.
Both positions have come open through incuments deciding not to run for re-election.
