"Hungry To Help" Assists Local Medical Personnel and Eateries

Madison Social

What began as a way to help feed Hurricane Michael victims has morphed into an effort to boost local restaurants and the area's front-line medical providers. The "Hungry To Help" initiative involves several Tallahassee businesses.

One of those businesses is Diverse Computing whose Lester Hutt says the idea of Hungry To Help is simplicity itself.

"You donate money to the fund and then the different hospitals and organizations that are working the front lines can buy meals for their staff out of that fund," he explained.

The actual donation mechanism is online.

"It was Annette Thompson at Madison Social who set up the way to donate to this at: www.MadisonSocial.com/Tallahassee."

At the same time, Hutt said the effort helps local restaurants, many of which are now barely hanging on.
