Georgia hospital gets more modern with new North Tower

Archbold Memorial Hospital is welcoming a new addition to it’s medical campus. Ryan Benk reports the 110 million dollar project will be one of the most advanced centers in the area.

The hospital, originally built in the 1920s, is gearing up for the opening for their new North Tower, a more than quarter million square foot addition. Archbold CEO, Perry Mustian says the tower will replace aging parts of the hospital’s infrastructure.

“It’s a very exciting time in the history of the Archbold system. We are about to unveil the newest and most modern addition to our campus. It’s an eight story tower designed to replace some of the key infrastructure of our hospital and that does include a brand new emergency department and trauma center.”

U.S. Senator Saxby Chambliss and hospital staff will be on hand for the grand opening ceremony Sunday afternoon at one-thirty.
