The clock is winding down on Election Day for one of the most partisan and divisive presidential races in recent memory. But a handful of sign wavers with different political leanings are united in one place. Florida’s historic capitol building.
A woman in a tie-die dress waves a peace and equality poster stands next to a man sporting an American flag and a Trump-Pence flier. Another lady is decked out in her Alpha Kappa Alpha jacket and pearls waves with a sign that says be the voice. Elvis is also making an appearance. And everyone is hoping their man, or woman, wins the presidency tonight.
“I’m voting for equality and I am hoping other people will do the same thing and think about the legacy they are leaving for the next generation," said Tao Valentine.
"You’re vote counts, it speaks and to have that privilege and not use it is just like being silenced," said Rhonda Rolle.
"Hopefully (it means) the return of jobs, the return of our county being together and not so divided and securing our country in what’s going on around the world," said Tom Kirkpatrick.
The trio was joined by a Trump-supporting Elvis impersonator as they made the final push for their candidates on Election Day.
