FAMU Names New Deans For Colleges Of Pharmacy, Journalism

Florida A&M University has named new deans to head its colleges of Pharmacy and Journalism.

Both new deans come from leadership roles at universities in Ohio. Johnnie Earley has served as a dean at University of Toledo for 18 years. Earley is returning to FAMU, having been an assistant professor and dean in the College of Pharmacy  from 1978 through ’87.

Florida A&M University has named Michelle Ferrier new Dean of its School of Journalism and Graphic Communication.

For dean of FAMU’s School of Journalism and Graphic Communication, the University has tapped Michelle Ferrier. She is an associate professor at Ohio University’s E.W. Scripps School of Journalism.

Meanwhile, the University is continuing its search for a permanent provost and new vice president of academic affairs.

Ryan Dailey is a reporter/producer for WFSU/Florida Public Radio. After graduating from Florida State University, Ryan went into print journalism working for the Tallahassee Democrat for five years. At the Democrat, he worked as a copy editor, general assignment and K-12 education reporter.
