Crist Campaigns for Tax Cuts

Tallahassee, FL – Crist launched a four-city tour less than 24 hours after the Legislature placed the proposed constitutional amendment on the ballot. He has 90 days to convince voters to go along with the legislature's plan to double the homestead exemption and add portability to the save our homes tax cap. Crist has pushed tax reform as a way to revive Florida's sluggish economy. And he says he expects immediate benefits from the plan because he says, it offers hope to Florida property owners.

Some homeowners may be disappointed in the average estimated savings: $240 a year. The governor's schedule for Tuesday included media events with home owners in Jacksonville, Port St. Lucie and Orlando
