A proposal to give the children of undocumented immigrants in-state tuition is on life support after a powerful committee chairman says he won’t hear the bill. Lynn Hatter reports the move has angered backers, and protests are being planned for the upcoming week.

Today, there’s no Florida law on the books to protect pregnant women from workplace discrimination. For months, the Florida Supreme Court grappled with that decision, and Thursday, they ruled employers can’t discriminate against pregnant women under the state’s civil rights act. But, as Sascha Cordner reports, one lawmaker says that still needs to be codified in state law.

With just  about two weeks left until the lawmakers start packing up to go home, a committee in the Senate is planning a last minute marathon next week in an attempt to shoe horn about 60 bills through the legislative process. Regan McCarthy has more….
