Absentee Ballots Delivered to Stranded Voters

By Tom Flanigan

Tallahassee, FL – The Leon County Elections Office is offering to deliver absentee ballots to voters in two flooded neighborhoods. The story from Tom Flanigan.

Leon County Elections Supervisor Ion Sancho says the offer applies to voters in the Timberlakes subdivision off Apalachee Parkway and the Fairbanks Ferry neighborhood in northern Leon County near the swollen Ocklockonee River. More than a hundred people are stranded and unable to reach their local voting precincts. Sancho says his staff will deliver absentee ballots to those areas today. But residents need to call his office before noon to make the arrangement.
