Week of December 16th

The City of Tallahassee presents “Elf Night,” December 19th at 5:30PM at Dorothy B. Oven Park, featuring the holiday light display, hot cocoa and cookies, and visiting Santa and Mrs. Claus. It is open to the public.

The Thomasville Center for the Arts presents, “Art Night Out,” featuring gift wrapping, ornament making, and more, December 20th at 6PM. It is open to the public.

The Tallahassee Film Society presents, “Joyeux Noel,” a film depicting the unofficial Christmas Truce on the Western Front in WWI, December 22nd, at 5PM, at the Challenger Learning Center. Information can be found at tallahasseefilms.com.

The Tallahassee Ballet presents their annual production of Tchaikovsky’s “The Nutcracker.” There are abbreviated children’s performances on December 21st and 22nd at 10:30AM and full performances on December 21st at 7:30PM and December 22nd at 2:30PM. Theatre Tallahassee presents the holiday musical “Plaid Tidings,” through December 22nd. Tickets and information can be found at theatretallahassee.org.

LeMoyne Arts presents the 61st Annual Holiday Show: Celebrating Home, through December 24th. The theme is a nod to Tallahassee’s bicentennial and there are a variety of festive events throughout the season. Information can be found at lemoyne.org.
