Week of July 4th

The City of Tallahassee presents, “Celebrate America” July 4th, from 7-10PM in Tom Brown Park. Taking the stage from 7:15 to 8:30 PM will be Sasha Tuck and the Capital Jazz Trio. Afterwards, the Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra will take stage playing some festive music. They will perform the National Anthem at 9:45PM and then the fireworks show will occur while they perform the 1812 Overture. There will be food trucks and other activities as well. The Leon High School Choral Department is presenting Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” from July 7th through 17th. Tickets and Information are available at leonperformingarts.org/newsite.

The Tallahassee St. Maarten Foundation presents “Civil Rights: Soul of a Movement,” at the James S. Rickards Auditorium on June 9th, from 7-9:30PM. This event celebrates the triumphant spirit of those who fought injustice through the music and story-telling of the Civil Rights Era in America. The Swamp Stomp 2022 music festival is this weekend, July 9th, at the Tallahassee Museum. The event goes from 4 to 9PM and features folk, blues, contemporary acoustic, ballads, highlands, saltwater music, and more. Tickets and information are available at tallahasseemuseum.org/events/swampstomp2022.
