Week of June 13th
The Tallahassee Community College Jazz Band has a concert of Big Band Music on June 15th at 7PM at the Maguire Center of Westminster Oaks Retirement Community. This concert is open to the public.
The Monticello Watermelon Festival is back for its 71st year from June 17th to June 18th. There will be live music, various vendors, a 5k race, and much more. Events start at 4PM on Friday and 8:15 AM on Saturday. Information can be found at Monticellowatermelonfestival.com.
Juneteenth of Thomasville is on June 18th and will feature vendors, food trucks, music, a car show, and more. It will also feature the rescheduled Black History Month Parade. Events start at 10AM and are open to the public. Information is available at thomasvillega.com.
The Monticello Opera House presents, “Zombies, the Musical” from June 14th through June 18th. Tickets and information can be found at MonticelloOperaHouse.org.
Members of the Gadsden Arts Artist Guild will be exhibiting at Tallahassee Community College through June 30th. The exhibit includes a variety of styles, realistic to non-objective, as well as diverse techniques and media. It will be open 12:30 to 4:30 on weekdays and is open o the public.
Mickee Faust Club celebrates pride for the entire month of June through July 2nd with their 15th annual Queer as Faust Festival. Events will be held at the Mickee Faust Clubhouse’s three theatre stages at 609 Railroad Square. Tickets and information are available at mickeefaust.com.
The Tallahassee Watercolor Society presents the TriState Watercolor Exhibition at the Florida State University Museum of Fine Art through July 8th. The exhibit will display artworks in watercolor and water media from three states. It is open to the public Wednesdays through Saturdays from 10Am to 4PM.
