Week of May 30th
The Chamber Music Festival, Festanza is this week. Chamber group, Trio Riva, hosts this festival designed for string and piano students to be involved in community music making. The Faculty Recital will take place on May 31st at 7PM at St. Peter’s Anglican Church. The Student Recital will be on June 4th at 3PM, also at St. Peter’s.
Opening Nights at FSU present the Dance Theatre of Harlem on June 1st at 7:30pm, in Ruby Diamond Concert Hall. The Dance Theatre of Harlem Company tours nationally and internationally, presenting a powerful vision for ballet in the 21st century. Ticket information can be found at openingnights.fsu.edu.
Pas de Vie presents “Spotlight on Dance,” at Tallahassee Community College’s Turner Auditorium on June 3rd at 8PM and June 4th at 2:30PM. Tickets and information are available at pasdevieballet.com.
The Ballet Arts Conservatory of Tallahassee presents Snow White and the Seven Dwarves at the Lincoln Highschool Auditorium on June 3rd at 7:30PM and June 4th at 2:30PM. Ticket information can be found at 850-510-1302 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Tallahassee Bach Parley presents “The Sincerest Form of Flattery: Imitation, Parody, and Inspiration through the Ages,” on June 4th and 5th at 3PM at St. John’s Episcopal Church. The Bach Parley will be partnering with the choral ensemble Festina and the concert will feature a variety of parodied pieces from the Baroque era. This concert is open to the public.
