COCA presents the 2022 Creative Tallahassee Exhibit which is ongoing through June 27th at the City Hall Art Gallery. This exhibit displays works from both experienced and emerging local artists and features more than 50 paintings, drawings, photographs, textiles, and sculptures. Opening Nights at FSU presents Canadian Vocal Duo, Dala, Thursday, May 12th at 7:30 in Opperman Music Hall. The duo draws on influences like the Beatles, Joni Mitchell, Neil Young, and Bob Dylan. Tickets are available at openingnights.fsu.edu or 850-644-7670.

The Railroad Square Art District is hosting the Tallahassee Bike Fest, May 13th through 15th. The event will be filled with music artists, local venders, and a kid’s corner. Information can be found at tallybikefest.com.

Soul of Southside Arts and Humanities Festival is happing on May 14th through May 22nd at Anita Favors Plaza at Lake Anita. Events will include a 5k race, neighborhood history tours, local food trucks and vendors, and musical entertainment. Information can be found at sosfesttlh.com.

Cellist Gregory Sauer will present an afternoon of intimate cello music on Sunday May 15th at 4:00 pm in Dodd Hall on the FSU campus. Sauer will perform three of Bach’s iconic cello suites in a benefit concert for MusicBridges, a non-profit organization that provides opportunities for the youth of Tallahassee to succeed through the power of music and diversity. This concert will specifically benefit the Connie Sauer-Adams memorial scholarship, which supports Black and Latinx college students by providing tuition assistance for studies at summer music festivals.
