Governor Ron DeSantis is poised to get nearly everything he wants from the legislature this year—including tightening the state’s immigration enforcement. Lynn Hatter reports the proposal would target transportation companies that bring undocumented immigrants into the state and enhance an already existing ban on so-called sanctuary cities.

After much wrangling, the Florida Legislature has finally come up with not one, but two new maps redrawing the state’s congressional districts. But Governor Ron DeSantis insists he doesn’t like either one and has his veto pen ready to go. Valerie Crowder talks it over with Tom Flanigan.

Students from Leon County schools walked out of class Thursday to protest the so-called “Don’t Say Gay” bill ahead of an expected vote in the state Senate. As Sarah Mueller reports, the students say they will not be erased.
