Statewide early voting ended Sunday but in some areas of the state, voters can continue casting ballots today. Leon County is one such area. Supervisor of Elections Ion Sancho says two voting locations will be open today for “emergency voting, “which allows them to accept mail ballots in the office," Sancho said.
"This is what we’ve historically done. It’s not a new practice. But we just wanted people to know on Monday and Tuesday, we will be voting at the courthouse. You don’t have to go to your precinct, you can go to the courthouse.”
The courthouse will be open until five this afternoon for voters and through 7 p.m. Tuesday. Sancho was on hand Sunday for Tallahassee’s “Souls 2 The Polls” rally. The event drew local campaigns along with the Reverend Jesse Jackson and Congresswoman Gwen Graham.
