This year’s tour promises to be a showcase of some of Tallahassee’s finest landscapes and features a record number of eight residential gardens in addition to a gem of a large community landscape. All of the gardens are situated in the immediate Tallahassee area and within a short drive the Park entrance. The day starts at 9 a.m. with a continental breakfast and silent auction on the lawn at the garden entrance inside beautiful Alfred B. Maclay Gardens State Park. At 10 a.m. those in attendance will receive a booklet containing brief descriptions and directions to the nine Tallahassee-area gardens that are being featured on the 2018 Tour. Tour-goers may then proceed on their own self-driven tour of the gardens where docents from the Leon County Master Gardener program will be on hand to answer questions.
