With still about a month left in the open enrollment period, the numbers are expected to grow even as the Republican-controlled Congress plans to repeal the Affordable Care Act as early as this week.

Paul Ryan Rallies Supporters In Panama City

Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney and running mate Paul Ryan are barnstorming key states leading up to Tuesday’s election. Ryan stopped in Panama City, Florida on Saturday.

Hundreds of people gathered at the Panama City Marina to hear Wisconsin Congressman Paul Ryan’s promise to take the country in a different direction under the Romney/Ryan ticket.

A progressive advocacy group has released a report titled “The Real Cost of the Romney-Ryan Budget to Floridians.” The group says, under Mitt Romney’s and Paul Ryan’s proposals, millions of Floridians would pay more for services they already receive.

The Center for American Progress Action Fund CEO Tom Perriello spoke in Tallahassee on Wednesday. He said, Romney’s proposed federal spending cap would require deep cuts in several areas.

Republicans are cheering the selection of Congressman Paul Ryan as Presumptive GOP Nominee Mitt Romney’s running mate. The move has also sparked a heated debate over the future of the nation’s Medicare program for seniors. Ryan is the architect of a budget proposal that includes those program cuts and Romney has said he supports the Ryan approach. Democrats say the Republican stance on Medicare could help President Obama in swing states.

Presumptive GOP Nominee Mitt Romney’s selection of Wisconsin Congressman Paul Ryan as his running mate is appealing to both Republicans and Democrats. Republicans are cheering the selection as proof that Romney is serious about cutting the federal debt.  Democrats say Ryan’s proposal to cut entitlement programs such as Medicare for seniors in order to reduce the federal debt could help President Obama in swing states with large numbers of elderly voters.
