Judge Rejects Gov. Scott's Emergency Generator Rules

Governor Scott is expected to appeal a Friday decision by an administrative judge, who tossed out emergency rules issued by Scott’s administration. The rules required nursing homes and assisted living facilities to have generators and enough power to cool buildings for 96 hours.

Today (Wednesday), the Florida Senate teed up several measures, unanimously passed a bunch more, and sent some over to the Governor for his signature. As Sascha Cordner reports, that includes a bill addressing juvenile life sentencing, a pair of gun-related measures, and another that ups the speed limit on several highways.

Lawmakers in the Florida House passed a bill Wednesday aimed at cracking down on adults in schools who participate in inappropriate relationships with students.
