Florida could soon be filing its own opioid abuse lawsuit against drug manufacturers. They’d be joining a long list of states, counties, and cities that have done the same.

Attorney General Pam Bondi, Governor Rick Scott, and law enforcement agencies around the state are working to crack down on Florida’s opioid epidemic. The effort includes hosting a series of workshops and advocating for legislative fixes.

Pharmacy giant CVS says it will soon make the overdose-reversing drug Naloxone available at its Florida stores without a prescription.
