The Director of the Leon County Consolidated Dispatch Agency is resigning. Tim Lee’s decision to step down comes after a conversation with Leon County Sheriff Mike Wood.

A miscommunication of the local joint dispatch center caused a delay in the response to a fatal crash that occurred this past weekend, and officials aren’t too happy.

The company hired to run the tech for Leon County’s Joint Dispatch Center is being fined $200,000, and counting.  An audit of the center has found widespread problems with the new systems created by Motorola.

Tallahassee and Leon County officials will release the results of an audit of the emergency dispatch center. The facility has had problems since it opened two years ago, and those problems complicated two high-profile incidents that occurred last year.
