The South Florida woman accused of being the go-between in the alleged murder-for-hire of a Florida State University professor almost two years ago will not be getting out of jail before her trial.

The State Attorney’s office has reached a plea deal with one of the suspects in the murder of a Florida State University law professor.  Luis Rivera was supposed to go before a judge Tuesday morning but the hearing was delayed as the deal was finalized.

Leon County’s 911 call center is settling with the family of a slain Florida State University professor. It also has two other lawsuits still pending.
