Ziffer Wins AAF Tallahassee Silver Honors

wfsu.org

A well-known city official is the latest recipient of the highest honor bestowed by the American Advertising Federation of Tallahassee.

The award came during the organization’s yearly banquet on Feb. 25. Federation Past President Rick Oppenheim said the competition for the AAF Tallahassee’s coveted Silver Award was heavy.

“Different people had different candidates that they nominated and advocated. But ultimately, it was the unanimous decision that Gil Ziffer should be our Silver Medal winner for this year,” he remarked.

Ziffer, who has been a member of the city’s marketing and public relations community for many years, was still a bit surprised by the honor when the call came that he was this year’s pick.

“That silver medal was just the thing that everybody worked to hopefully maybe get some day, and so, yeah, I was pretty pleased with it.”

Besides professional accomplishment, the award also recognizes community and charitable involvement.
