Skynryd Concert Cancelled

tallahasseeamphitheater.com

What’s being called a “medical emergency” has cancelled tonight’s (Friday 11/3) Tallahassee concert by a legendary Southern Rock band.

Originally hailing from the Jacksonville suburb of Orange Park, Lynyrd Skynyrd formed in the mid-1960s. The band and went on to rack up an impressive string of hit records and toured continuously until two members of the band died in a 1977 plane crash. Skynyrd reformed ten years later and has continued touring, even though guitarist Gary Rossington is the only founding band member in the lineup. But early this afternoon, word came from Leon County government that some kind of “medical emergency” had sidelined Rossington and so this evening’s Lynyrd Skynyrd concert at the Cascades Park Amphitheater had been cancelled. Those who’d bought tickets online would get an immediate refund. Tickets bought at the Moon will be refunded starting next Wednesday(11/8) at noon.
