Tallahassee, FL – The Capital Area Red Cross is opening up shelters in the event Tropical Storm Fay forces evacuations. That story from Tom Flanigan
There are seven shelters in North Florida: the Church of God in Eastpoint in Franklin County; East Gadsden High School in Gadsden County; Monticello's Jefferson High School for Jefferson County; Toler Elementary School in Bristol for Liberty County; Tallahassee's Leon High School and Florida High School for Leon County; Taylor County Elementary in Perry; and Crawfordville's Mormon Church in Wakulla County. The Red Cross is also setting up a shelter at the Mathis City Auditorium in Valdosta, Georgia. Anyone going to the shelters should bring only the essentials, such as prescription medicines, copies of important documents, blankets and baby items.
