Drivers might notice a slowdown on their commutes Monday as new construction gets started along FAMU Way and Market Street.

City crews will start repaving Duval Street between Gaines and Tennessee Monday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The lanes will be paved one at a time in order to cause less traffic disruption. The project is expected to last three weeks.

Improvements will also be made to the Capitol parking garage starting Thursday. Madison Street all the way down to Monroe and Adams Street will be closed until the end of the project on Sunday. Detours will be available.
