Minor Enters City Commission Race

Rick Minor

There are now three people in the running to succeed Scott Maddox on the Tallahassee City Commission.  Rick Minor was at the Leon County Supervisor of Elections Office to file his paperwork first thing Wednesday morning.

Minor was one-time chief of staff for former Mayor John Marks.  Then he helped spearhead the recent Tallahassee Music Week and All-America City bid as a consultant.

“I think I have a reputation for getting things done,” he said after turning in his information.  “If you look at the All-America City Award, Local Business Saturday, and Tallahassee Music Week, those are some good examples.”

And Minor believed his many community connections will be a strong asset in the commission job.

“We work together, the government, business, faith community, neighborhoods, we truly get together to address our issues.”

Also running for City Commission Seat One, State Revenue Manager Luther Lee and FAMU Academic Counselor Bruce Warren Strouble.
